Butterfly rests on the philodendron leaf - rainforest

The broad leaves on this variety has holes to allow some sunlight and water to flow through to the ground and plants growing underneath. This plant has a symbiotic relationship with its fellow forest plants. It has also been said that the holes may provide a disguise so other animals think it is not appealing to eat, due to the tiny holes already there – an animal or bug may have left it after a small taste
